Screened Asphalt Millings

Screened asphalt millings are recycled material produced during pavement rehabilitation projects — the existing asphalt surface is cold-milled off, and the resulting material is processed and screened to a consistent size for reuse. It's one of the most cost-effective surfacing options available, and when it's properly placed and compacted, it performs well in a wide range of applications.

What makes millings useful is the residual asphalt binder still in the material. Once compacted and exposed to heat from the sun, the binder activates and the surface begins to firm up and bind together over time — giving you something much more durable than plain gravel. The screened version means you get a consistent particle size without oversized chunks that create an uneven surface.

Common Uses

  • Residential and commercial driveways
  • Unpaved parking areas
  • Job site and construction access roads
  • Rural roads and private lanes
  • Temporary or permanent haul roads
  • Base layer under new asphalt (where permitted by spec)
